I went to Home Depot to exchange or return an item. The clerk at the Returns counter refused to exchange it or give me my money back because I didn’t have my driver’s license with me. She said it was against their policy if I didn’t have a driver’s license. Her attitude was not that great either. That was ridiculous, but I was in a rush and didn’t have time to argue or seek a manager. I left very annoyed since I had wasted a half hour and had driven out of my way to go there.

The next day I returned with the receipt and my driver’s license. There was a different clerk there for returns. I just asked if I could exchange the item for another one that fit. She said sure, go get it and bring it back here. I did. She glanced at it and said “is that the right one?” I answered yes; she waved me out as I said thanks to her.

POO to the first clerk for being unnecessarily mean. My hats off to the other clerk for being nice and courteous.
